Weapons Tier List

Weapons convert army size into arena wins. After gates multiply your headcount, weapon tiers determine how fast Red vs Blue melts—or how quickly bosses like Pharaoh and Emperor fall. This page ranks weapon investments for Make an Army Red VS Blue using community-oriented S–C tiers grounded in beta combat roles, not official developer tables.

Pair this list with Armor Tier List so your DPS units live long enough to swing, and with Units Tier List so upgrades land on the line you actually multiplied.

Ranking criteria

Weapons are scored on:

  1. Damage per run-minute including shop travel time.
  2. Target profile — single-target boss burst versus cleave for add waves.
  3. Currency efficiency — coins for baseline tiers, gems for legendary rows.
  4. Stack synergy — duplicate upgrades on the same multiplied line beat spreading one tier across four unit types.

S tier — legendary weapons on main stack

Legendary weapons on your primary multiplied line are S tier when the shop exposes a clear top row. Experience marketing cites “powerful weapons,” and legendary labels typically deliver the largest jump for boss DPS. Gem costs hurt, but failing Beat Emperor repeatedly costs more time.

Area cleave weapons on the same stack you use for Red vs Blue team fights also reach S when add waves leak past front-line armor. One cleave upgrade can outperform two single-target tiers if minions spawn every arena phase.

Second duplicate legendary or epic on the main line stays S if your wipe reason is “boss still at half health” rather than instant death.

A tier — epic weapons and focused coin tiers

Epic single-target weapons are A tier for Pharaoh milestones and first Red vs Blue clears. They cost fewer gems than legendary while still shortening fight timers enough to earn arena payouts from Coins and Gems.

Max coin-tier weapon before shop three is A tier when gems are reserved for armor on Armor Tier List. Two coin tiers on one rifle stack beat one legendary on a bench line.

Secondary cleave on support line rises to A in co-op when teammates multiply shields while you multiply riflemen—see Best Army Builds.

B tier — spread and off-meta picks

One weapon tier on every unit type is B tier. Looks flexible, loses to stacked upgrades on gates you chose in Gates and Paths.

Single-target only loadouts during add-heavy boss phases sit at B until you slot one cleave role. Beat Bosses notes which fights spawn extras.

Luxury ranged on cavalry you barely multiplied stays B unless future patches buff charge damage.

C tier — low value buys

Gem reroll rows without guaranteed weapon ups are C tier—replay instead of gambling.

Weapons on lines you plan to replace next gate split are C tier waste. Commit after route callouts stabilize.

Duplicate cosmetic weapon skins with no stat text belong in C until verified.

Boss and badge alignment

Beat Pharaoh — A-tier epic weapon minimum on main DPS; S legendary if timer fails with full armor.

Beat Emperor — S-tier legendary or double epic stack; coordinate armor from Armor Tier List so DPS windows matter.

Red Button — often needs burst plus cleave; hybrid builds on Upgrade Priority rank weapons after survival checks pass.

Economy coupling

Weapon tiers should follow coin and gem income, not vanity. If you must choose between S legendary weapon and S legendary armor, pick armor when you die in two hits; pick weapon when you survive but time out.

Free Egg Tier 1 hatches from Free Egg Tier 1 may grant units that skew weapon priority—re-evaluate tiers after hatching.

Co-op weapon calls

In five-player lobbies, avoid four different S-tier luxury weapons. Pair one S cleave player with one S single-target player; share gate multiplication on agreed lines.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask before every match.

Legendary weapon or legendary armor first?

Armor first if you die instantly. Weapon first if you survive with time left on the boss timer.

Are cleave weapons always S tier?

Only on lines you multiplied and when adds spawn. Pure boss races without adds favor single-target S tiers.

Do weapons carry between runs?

In-run upgrades usually reset. Persistent hub weapons, if added in beta, would be noted on Updates.

Why is spread weapon investment B tier?

Gate math rewards one stacked line. Spread tiers dilute DPS where your army is actually largest.

Is this list official?

No—community beta meta rankings, not UH Games Offical balance docs.
